An East End family battle gangsters, starvation and weird science in post-holocaust 1963 London.
London. Winter. 1963. It is a year since the Cold War went hot, unleashing not just nuclear bombs, but the products of secret weapons programmes from the fringes of science.
This is a city on the edge: under siege from hostile forces, filled with refugees from the rest of Europe, and caught between anarchy and martial law. Food is scarce, and a large part of the populace are facing a winter of starvation.
Amidst the chaos and horror, one East End family fights for survival, struggling with black marketeers, gangsters and corrupt local officials. What are their chances when they can’t even trust each other?
Family drama, starvation and otherworldly horrors, for four adults.
